Gdansk offers an exciting balance between exciting physical activities such as kayaking or yachting and more relaxing activities, such as sightseeing at various landmarks like the Old Town or visiting museums. Gdansk is also in the range of many interesting places to visit, the most well known being the Malbork Castle.

How does it work? What is door-to-door service?

Tours outside of Gdansk

Just a short trip away from Gdansk, you can explore Malbork Castle. One of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the castle is the largest in the world measured by land area! It is also the world’s biggest brick castle. As a site of the power of the Teutonic Order, there is a lot of fascinating history connected to it, and if you like knights and the medieval period, you will be thrilled! Make sure to take the Marlbork Castle Tour. All necessary tickets, transport and a guide in one all-inclusive package.

Stutthoff Concentration Camp is one of the monuments of World War II. First Death Camp to be established and the last death camp to be liberated by Allies, this grim place is a memorial of crimes against humanity committed by Nazi Germany. To make sure you can pay your respects and properly understand the meaning and history of Stutthoff, we prepared Stutthoff Concentration Camp Tour. It includes a guide and necessary tickets to visit the Stutthof Museum.

History of the Solidarity

Gdańsk was always a city of freedom, so it makes sense that the fall of the USSR and communism began there. The Solidarity Movement started a chain of events historically known as Autumn of Nations. The Revolutions of 1989 began in Poland and inspired other communist countries to fight for their freedom. It was thanks to Solidarity that Berlin Wall fell. If you want to learn the details of these world-changing events, take our Solidarity Tour. You will get to see where history was made, including the Solidarity headquarters and the shipyard that began it all.

I highly recommend this company. The car for 6 people was waiting for us even before the scheduled time. The drivers were super nice and the car ( minibus) clean and comfortable. Good price too and you can pay in cash or credit card if you order via website.

FAQ

Here you can find answers for frequently asked questions.

You simply cannot miss the Neptune’s Fountain! We recommend taking the Royal Route, walking through the Long Lane and visiting the Long Market. These aren’t the only regal things about the city, though! Have you heard that Gdańsk is considered to be World’s Capital of Amber? See it for yourself at the Amber Museum! Take a look at the Motlawa River Embankment while you are at it. Museum of the Second World War and Westerplatte are highly recommended. Do not skip!

If you have money to burn, taxis are fast and on-demand. However, they will quickly deplete your pocket money, and many taxis still don’t like being paid with a credit or debit card. Still fast, and way smarter and economical is using public transport. Use Jakdojade to plan your routes and minimize your confusion. You can get to anywhere from anywhere using public transport, though it won’t always be super fast or convenient. If you enjoy physical activity and enjoy biking, there are many bike rental services available in Gdańsk. We personally love cycling, so this is our second most recommended option, tied with a water tram! While the water tram might not be the most convenient or fast, it is something you have to experience AT LEAST once when in the city. It is just so unique, fun, and relaxing! If you have figured out your plans for a day ahead, and know that you might need to travel long distances, consider arranging a ride with MrShuttle. This is especially convenient and useful when starting or ending your trip. If you want us to pick you up at your hotel and drop you somewhere in the city, or the other way around, just give us a call!

Surprisingly, none yet! Gdańsk is actively trying to change that, though. Since 1997, the City has been petitioning UNESCO to include its heritage sites in the World Heritage list. However, there IS a UNESCO World Heritage Site that you can visit when in Gdańsk. The biggest of surviving European castles, Marlbork Castle is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1997.
