Statue of the Little Mermaid – considered Copenhagen’s symbol, this statue represents one of the characters of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytales. The Little Mermaid is one of Copenhagen’s must-see sights so if you want to snap a photo with it, get ready to brave the crowds.

Rosenborg Castle – situated within beautiful gardens (King’s Garden), this 17th-century castle is home to royal valuables and portraits.

Nyhavn – a stroll (or a bike ride) along this harbour is a definite must. The iconic, colorful houses built along the canal make for a charming atmosphere. 

Tivoli Gardens – theme park founded in 1843 and currently situated in the center of the city. If you’re looking for a real wonderland, this is the place to take your family.


National Museum of Denmark – the best place to visit if you want to learn about Denmark and its history. As it includes interactive exhibitions, it will be interesting even for the kids.

The Round Tower – a 17th-century tower that offers great views of Copenhagen. One of the most popular attractions in the city, but keep in mind that there are many stairs
