Tuscany – reflects all that is most beautiful in Italy. Dazzling cities, the most valuable works of art, extraordinary landscapes, delicious cuisine and the best wine in the world. The capital of Tuscany – Florence, on the other hand, is no ordinary city with monuments. It is a unique place where tourists from all over the world come to admire all the local charms and amazing history. Nowhere else will you find so many Renaissance masters who have influenced the architecture of this place. This is where Leonardo da Vinci and Galileo Galilei conducted their experiments. The greatest masters of brush and chisel worked here: Giotto, Cimabue, Botticelli or Michelangelo himself, who once said…

“Italy is the garden of Europe, Tuscany the garden of Italy, Florence the flower of Tuscany”.

Florence: A Heart of European Renaissance

Florence is a city that has long been closely associated with art in the broadest sense. It was in this city that such great artists as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli Dante, Niccolò, Donatello, Machiavelli or Rafael Santi created their works. Here you can admire the famous Michelangelo’s David sculpture. Not only did they create in this city, evidence of which can be found at every turn, but they also lived in it for most of their lives. No wonder that Florence is visited not only by tourists from all over the world but also by lovers of art, painting and architecture. Florence is a true paradise for lovers of Italian culture, history and, of course, monuments.

It’s little wonder that the number of monuments and places to see in Florence is dizzying. When visiting the city, be careful not to get the “Stendhal syndrome“. The author of the novel “Red and Black” once visited the city and in one day visited the Uffizi Gallery, Dante’s tomb and saw several local churches. He later described in his diaries how he lay in bed with a fever for several days, so impressed with all of this. Florence enchants at every turn.

Florence is a city of many splendours in a small area. You only have to walk a few steps to come across a monument that will knock your socks off. You can try to discover this place in one day, but it will be difficult!
