Krakow Shuttle - first class serviceWe used this company for transfers and tours while on a recent trip to Krakow. We went on the full day trip to Auschwitz/Birkenau and the Salt Mines. 11 hours in total. Well organised and everything ran like clockwork. Two days later we used them to go to Zakopane. Again, great service, excellent timings and comfortable coaches and minibuses. I really have no complaints. They are competitively priced too.

FAQ

Here you can find answers for frequently asked questions.

Krakow is a very pleasant city, full of interesting places to see! There are four districts especially worth seeing. Prioritize The Old Town and it’s Main Square! See the Cloth-hall and Town Hall Tower. Explore the underground museum hidden right beneath the city. Want to hear more about the history of the city? Overwhelmed by the options and looking for some guidance? Our City Walking Tour will help you take the best route and not miss anything!Kazimierz District is a world-famous Jewish district. It has a lot of character to it! You will understand what we mean when you walk into it. It is very distinct visually. You will see a lot of synagogues, thematic museums, graveyards, old-style alleys, and signboards. The third iconic district of Krakow is Podgórze. Here, you will find the Plac Bohaterów Getta (Ghetto Heroes Square). This is the central hub of everything in Krakow Ghetto. Remember Schindler’s List? The Schindler’s Factory can be found here. Currently, it functions as a museum. Our Krakow Memorial Route Tour will take you to all of these places - and more. For something entirely different, but still iconic, we recommend Nowa Huta! You probably heard word “utopia” a lot. A lot of novels and movies talk about utopias, but rarely show them. Nowa Huta was an attempt at creating ideal communist utopia, funded and designed by Soviets. Their plan was to design a perfect city with every little detail contributing to the greater plan of ideal city that needs no God. Did they succeed? Find out by taking Nowa Huta Tour!

The simplest way is to take a walk. Krakow is actually pretty compact city, and with some smart planning, you won’t have to resort to using public transport or calling a taxi. A good route will allow you to see everything on foot. However, not everybody might enjoy that, and what is the point of walking if you don’t like it? There are many reasons why you might not want to do that, like weather deciding to go all rainy. In such cases, jump into the public transport! A ticket costs around 4zł - less than 1 EUR. Getting a ticket is pretty trivial, as there are many ticket machines spread over the city. Just be aware that some of them do not accept credit and debit cards. Carry some spare change in your pocket to be safe.If you want to avoid jumping through the hoops of public transport, and have more complicated plans such as a family dinner, a tour, or anything else that would benefit from simple and direct transport, call MrShuttle. We can pick you up anywhere within Kraków and take you to anywhere else. Perfect for finishing your long day and getting directly back to your hotel! Just give us heads up in advance.

No. Most of the museums in Krakow require you to pay for a ticket. However, there are some exceptions! Some are simply free, while others become free at specific times. The most popular and iconic time is the “Night of Museums”! This initiative celebrates the heritage of Kraków, and entry becomes entirely free! Why is it called “a night”? Well, because on that special day, they all are open far longer than normally - well into late night. Sounds cool? Next Night of Museums happens on 14 may of 2021, so make sure to not miss it! Also, make sure to pay attention to Krakow in November. Why? Because during November, you can visit Wawel’s Royal Castle for free. If the famous castle is your primary reason to visit Krakow, well, find some time in November!!Do note that while there are days during which museums are free, the opposite is also true. Do not be surprised when you find them closed on mondays. Monday is generally considered to be a break day for museums in Krakow.
