Latest updates on the COVID-19 situation

The international organisation “EndCoronavirus” publishes ongoing data on how countries are coping with the coronavirus pandemic. Its members include epidemiologists, clinicians, analysts, social scientists, entrepreneurs, among others. It was established on 29 February 2020 in response to the outbreak of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The report includes information from over 140 countries worldwide. Countries are divided into three categories depending on how they are coping with COVID-19. The green colour indicates those countries that are “winning against the pandemic”, the yellow colour indicates those that are on track to stop spreading the coronavirus, while the red colour refers to those places where the situation is bad and “radical response is needed”.

The epidemiological situation in Poland is currently one of the best in Europe and even in the world. The infection graph has been very flat for several weeks. The daily average of new COVID-19 cases over the last week is in the range of about 80 – 200 cases. Poland is currently in the yellow zone.

  • Restrictions concerning movement (1.5 meter distance between pedestrians)

The following persons are excluded from the restriction:

  • Covering moth and nose with a mask (only in public, closed spaces): buses, trams, trains, shops, malls, banks, markets and post offices in cinemas and theatres, at physician’s offices, in outpatient clinics and hospitals, in massage and tattoo parlours in churches, at schools and universities, government offices, and other civic centres.

Travelling opportunities in Poland

In order to slow down the spread of the coronavirus and protect the health and quality of life of all residents and tourists, certain travel restrictions are necessary. Poland makes every effort to enable people to meet friends and family, travel for work or enjoy tourism, and to ensure the free movement of citizens, goods and services – with full respect for safety and hygiene measures.
