Plac Centralny
You will learn about the district’s history and how it was developed between 1949 and 1989. You will be taken on a walk through Alley Roz (Alley of Roses) where you will learn about the architecture of the district. Later on, you will see Tadeusz Sendzimir Steelworks (previously called Vladimir Lenin Steelworks during the Communist rule). After wandering through offices and conference rooms the guide will take you to an underground tunnel that leads to a shelter back from the 1950s!

Arka Pana Church
Back on the ground, you will visit Arka Pana (Lord’s Ark) Church which was the first church built in Nowa Huta after inhabitants have been demanding it from the Communist government for years! The complex has been consecrated by Karol Wojtyla himself in 1977.

Museum of Armed Act
Last but not least, you will be able to see a real Soviet IS-2 tank in front of the Museum of the Armed Act which is one of the most recognizable landmarks of Nowa Huta!

Communism was a sad part of history. Nowa Huta is a relict of this time. It worth visiting and learn more about this hard time to everyone how lived in a communist time in Poland.
You move back in time during an Amazing trip, a professional knowledgeable guide Mat, clean and comfy van. Need nothing more!
I was very pleasantly surprised by a piece of an extremely interesting story.
