Our adventure starts with a visit to Braga, a city deeply rooted in religion. You'll have the chance to marvel at the oldest Cathedral of Portugal, and the UNESCO-listed Bom Jesus Sanctuary, which offers stunning views of the city.

As we make our way to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte, be prepared to be amazed by its endless stairs and Baroque details. This religious monument is also a romantic and relaxing place where nature is cherished and preserved with great care.

The imposing Cathedral of Braga, also known as Sé de Braga, is a monument that blends three distinct architectural styles - Romanesque, Manueline, and Baroque. It is the oldest Cathedral in Portugal, built several decades before the country's founding. We'll take a leisurely stroll through the historic centre of Braga, where you can admire the Santa Barbára Garden, one of the most beautiful gardens in Portugal.

Our excursion wouldn't be complete without sampling some traditional Portuguese cuisine. Take a break and savour a delicious lunch in the heart of Braga (not included in the price).

Next, we'll head to Guimarães, the birthplace of Portugal and a World Heritage Site, since 2001. Among the many highlights of this beautiful city is the Castle of Guimarães, which dates back to the 10th century and is considered a national symbol. As you approach the castle, you'll be struck by its impressive medieval structure, but it's not until you step inside that you truly appreciate its grandeur. From the top of the castle walls, you'll have stunning views over the city, making it a perfect spot for taking in the sights.

After exploring the castle, your tour will take you on a journey through some of Guimarães' other historic landmarks. The Palace of the Bragança Dukes and the São Miguel Church are both well worth a visit, and it's here that you'll find an imposing statue of D. Afonso Henriques, one of Portugal's most celebrated historical figures. As you walk through Martins Sarmento Square, keep an eye out for interesting architecture and charming local cafes.
